Configuring CuteFTP v2.0 |
1. When you open up CuteFTP, if your screen looks like this,

click on the Exit button to exit the FTP Site Manager.
2. Once you exit the FTP Site Manager, click on the Quick Connect button that looks like a yellow lightning bolt.

3. Enter the Host Address (this is your Website's domain name without any ftp. prefix; for example: companyb.com), your User ID (your 3-8 character username) and your Password (your 6-8 character password). Login Type is Normal. Transfer Type and Host Type should both be Auto-Detect. Local Filtering should be checked. For Initial Remote Directory, enter public_html Click OK.

4. Once connected, the files on your computer will display on the left and the files/directories in your home directory on our server will be on the right. You MUST double click on the public_html directory to open it up. Drag and drop the files you want to upload/download into/from your public_html directory. If you need to make subdirectories in the public_html directory, pull down the Commands menu and select Make New Directory. Give each new directory a name.

5. When done, disconnect by clicking on the Disconnect button, then pull down the File menu and select Exit.
