Configuring Entourage Mail on the Mac

Entourage Mail (Macintosh)

  1. Open up Entourage.

  2. Click Configure Account Manually. (If you don't see this, you may need to pull down Tools, select Accounts, click New, select Mail, then click the right arrow.)

  3. For Your Name, type any permutation of your real name that you want. There are no wrong answers in this field. Examples: John Doe; John; J. Doe; John Doe, Sales Manager.

  4. For Email Address, enter your e-mail address, then click the right arrow.

  5. In the Add new mail account screen, click the OK button.

  6. For Account Name, enter your e-mail address.

  7. For Name, type any permutation of your real name that you want. There are no wrong answers in this field. Examples: John Doe; John; J. Doe; John Doe, Sales Manager.

  8. For E-mail Address, enter your e-mail address.

  9. For Account ID, enter your 3 to 8 character username (always in all lower case).

  10. For POP Server, enter pop.mm.com

  11. It's up to you if the Save Password box is checked or unchecked. If it's checked, please enter your 6 to 8 character password. It's always typed in lower case.

  12. For SMTP Server, enter smtp.mm.com

  13. Click OK or Finish.

ONCE YOUR CONFIGURATION IS COMPLETE, DON'T FORGET TO BACK-UP YOUR SYSTEM!

If You Have a Problem . . .

Make sure all settings are correct. To do this:

  • Pull down Tools
  • Select Accounts
  • Click on the Mail tab.
  • Make sure the account you want is highlighted
  • Click the Edit button Change any settings that aren't correct, then click OK.

If all your settings are correct and you're still having a problem reading/sending e-mail, close out of all applications and reboot your computer. Connect again and try your mail again. If you still have a problem or get an error message, note the problem/message, then call our office (651-681-8018). If you're online and just have a question, don't hesitate to e-mail us.

If your mailbox is overly full because it's set to leave mail on server for too long:

  • Pull down Tools
  • Select Accounts
  • Click on the Mail tab.
  • Make sure the account you want is highlighted
  • Click the Edit button
  • When the Edit window appears, click the Options tab.
  • Make sure the box next to Leave a copy of each message on the server is either UNchecked, or if it is checked, change the number next to Delete messages from the server after" to something smaller.
  • Click OK.
PLEASE REMBER . . .
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE ON ALL YOUR COMPUTERS. MAKE SURE TO RUN IT AND UPDATE IT FREQUENTLY!! COMPUTER VIRUSES CAN BE ACQUIRED THROUGH OTHER MEANS THAN E-MAIL.

NOTE: Ad-Aware is the name of the software that corrects the problem. Adware is the bad guy; it's not what you want. Yes, the names are very close. A good way to remember is: You're aware you need Ad-Aware.
