Entourage Mail (Macintosh)

- Open up Entourage.
- Click Configure Account Manually. (If you don't see this,
you may need to pull down Tools, select Accounts, click
New, select Mail, then click the right arrow.)
- For Your Name, type any permutation of your real name that you
want. There are no wrong answers in this
field. Examples: John Doe; John; J. Doe; John Doe, Sales Manager.
- For Email Address, enter your e-mail address, then
click the right arrow.
- In the Add new mail account screen, click the OK
button.
- For Account Name, enter your e-mail address.
- For Name, type any permutation of your real name that you
want. There are no wrong answers in this
field. Examples: John Doe; John; J. Doe; John Doe, Sales Manager.
- For E-mail Address, enter your e-mail address.
- For Account ID, enter your 3 to 8 character username (always
in all lower case).
- For POP Server, enter pop.mm.com
- It's up to you if the Save Password box is checked or
unchecked. If it's checked, please enter your 6 to 8 character password.
It's always typed in lower case.
- For SMTP Server, enter smtp.mm.com
- Click OK or Finish.
ONCE YOUR CONFIGURATION IS COMPLETE, DON'T FORGET TO BACK-UP YOUR
SYSTEM!

If You Have a Problem . . .
|
Make sure all settings are correct. To do this:
- Pull down Tools
- Select Accounts
- Click on the
Mail tab.
- Make sure the account you want is highlighted
- Click the
Edit button
Change any settings that aren't correct, then click OK.
If all your settings are correct and you're still having a problem
reading/sending e-mail, close out of all applications and reboot your
computer. Connect again and try your mail again. If you still have a
problem or get an error message, note the problem/message, then call our
office (651-681-8018). If you're online and just have a question, don't hesitate to e-mail us.
If your mailbox
is overly full because it's set to leave mail on server for too long:
- Pull down Tools
- Select Accounts
- Click on the
Mail tab.
- Make sure the account you want is highlighted
- Click the
Edit button
- When the Edit window appears, click the Options tab.
- Make sure the box next to Leave a copy of each message on the
server is either UNchecked, or if it is checked, change the
number next to Delete messages from the server after" to something
smaller.
- Click OK.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ANTI-VIRUS
SOFTWARE ON ALL YOUR COMPUTERS. MAKE SURE TO RUN IT AND UPDATE IT
FREQUENTLY!! COMPUTER VIRUSES CAN BE ACQUIRED THROUGH OTHER MEANS THAN
E-MAIL.
SOFTWARE TO COMBAT ADWARE AND SPYWARE IS ALSO A GOOD IDEA!

NOTE: Ad-Aware is the name of the software that corrects the
problem.
Adware is the bad guy; it's not what you want. Yes, the
names are
very close. A good way to remember is: You're aware you need Ad-Aware.
