CONFIGURING FILEZILLA

  1. When you open up Filezilla, the following screen should appear:

  2. For Hostname:, enter your Website's domain name
        Example: companyb.com

  3. For Username:, enter your 3-8 character username.

  4. For Password, enter your 6-8 character password.

  5. You can leave the Port: field blank.

  6. Click Quickconnect to connect.

Once you're connected, your display will look something like this:

The files on your computer will display on the left side. The current directory is on top, the files in that directory are on the bottom. The files on the Webserver will display on the right side. The current directory is on top, the files in that directory are on the bottom.

Click on public_html on the lower right to get to your Web files. Drag and drop the desired files into the public_html directory.

To create a new directory underneath public_html, right-click your mouse and select Create directory. Give the file the name you want, then click OK. Drag and drop the desired files into the new directory. If additional directories are needed, create them, then drag and drop files into them.

When done, click on the Disconnect icon: Disconnect
or, pull down Server and select Disconnect from there.
