"I forgot my Postini password."
"I want to change my Postini password."
"How do I do it?"
Either way, the procedure is the same.
- Try logging into Postini like you normally do.
- If your password is entered wrong, you'll see a screen that says your
username and/or password are wrong.
- Click on the Forgot your password? link.
- Click the Submit button.
- A new temporary Postini password will be delivered to your mailbox on
our system. Access your mailbox on our system for that new temporary
Postini password.
(This temporary password does not
change
the password for your mailbox on our system; this temporary password
applies ONLY to Postini.)
- Use that temporary password to log into Postini.
- Once logged in, Postini will ask you to change the temporary password
to a permanent one. The permanent one can be whatever you
want -- it can be the same as your mailbox on our system or
something completely different - it's entirely up to you.
You'll see a screen similar to this:
Temporary Password: (enter the new, temporary Postini
password)
New Password: (enter the password you want)
Confirm Password: (enter the password you want again; type it
exactly the
same way as you typed it in the New Password field.)
- This will set a new Postini password for you.
