MINNESOTA MICRONET Using Internet Mail with Internet Explorer

After starting Internet Explorer, pull down the View menu and choose Options.

Choose the Programs tab.

Make sure Internet Mail is selected in the Mail: drop-down list. If it isn't, pull down the drop-down list and select it.

Press OK.

Press the Mail icon on the Internet Explorer toolbar and choose Read Mail.

If this is the first time you have run Internet Mail, a configuration wizard will start up. If it does, go to the configuration values section of this page and enter the values in the appropriate fields. If the Internet Mail program starts up, pull down the Mail item and choose Options.

Choose the Server tab.

Configuration Values

Note: Substitute your specific personal information for these values shown above

Name: -- your real name (not your email address or username)

Organization: -- (optional)

Email Address: -- typically username@mm.com, or alias@mm.com (if you have made arrangements with us to use an email alias), or anyname@your-domain.com (if we are hosting your domain).

Outgoing Mail (SMTP): -- smtp.mm.com

Incoming Mail (POP3): -- pop.mm.com

POP3 Account: -- username (usually your login username, unless this is a secondary mailbox, in which case use the mailbox username we gave you)

Password: -- usually the password we've assigned to you for your username (or in the case of a secondary mailbox, use the password we gave you for this mailbox).

Press OK to save these settings.
