IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM . . .

Make sure the POP, SMTP, account name and password are correct. To check the settings: pull down Tools, then select Account Settings. Click on Server Settings on the left for the incoming mail server and username:

Server Type: POP Mail Server
Server Name: pop.mm.com
Username: your 3 to 8 character username in all lower case

Check for new messages on startup and automatically check for messages are also found here. If any changes are make, click OK.

Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP) on the left for the name of the outgoing mail server. It will most likely say smtp.mm.com. If you're accessing the Internet through another ISP, that ISP's rules apply when sending mail. If you enter smtp.mm.com but can't send mail, that ISP may allow you to use smtp.mm.com if you change the outgoing port from 25 to 587. Or, that ISP may allow you to use smtp.mm.com but with smtp authentication enabled. Or, that ISP may require that you use their smtp server setting. If you need to make any changes, click Edit..., then OK or Save any changes.

If your settings are correct, and you're still having a problem reading/sending e-mail, close out of all applications and reboot your computer. Connect again and try your mail again.

If you still have a problem or get an error message, note the problem/message, then call our office (651-681-8018). If you're online and just have a question, you can E-mail help@mm.com

ONCE YOUR CONFIGURATION IS COMPLETE, DON'T FORGET TO BACK-UP YOUR SYSTEM!

SOFTWARE TO COMBAT ADWARE AND SPYWARE IS ALSO A GOOD IDEA!

To COMBAT ADWARE, GO HERE.

NOTE: Ad-Aware is the name of the software that corrects the problem. Adware is the bad guy; it's not what you want. Yes, the names are very close. A good way to remember is: You're aware you need Ad-Aware.

TO COMBAT SPYWARE, GO HERE.
