What is the CUB magazine? The CUB of the Golden Lion, known as "The CUB" is a quarterly magazine that is included with your membership fees. It has been produced, quarterly, since August 1946. It was first published, for one year, as a monthly magazine. Since then it has been produced as a quarterly publication, even in the Mid 70's when the the Association membership dropped to about 250 veterans. One issue contained only the front and back cover with the contents on the inside front and back cover (4 pages). Average size over the years was approximately 24-28 pages. In recent years, since 1987, we have published a minimum of 44 pages, with some issues as high as 56-60 pages.

The CUB usually contains:

  • News about the 106th Infantry Division Association Activities.
  • News about members and their families.
  • Listings of New Members.
  • Stories relating to the WW II battles of the 106th Infantry Division.
  • Stories of 106th veterans returning to the battle fields to visit the sites of their World War II experiences, etc.
