How
can I join the 106th Infantry Division Association?
What is the 106th Infantry
Division Association?
It was organized at Camp Lucky Strike in 1945 while the 106th Infantry Division soldiers were awaiting shipment home. It is an incorporated non-profit veteran's organization, intended to keep former veteran members and families in touch.
Who is eligible to join? - You must have been a member of the 106th Infantry Division to become a VOTING member. Relatives or Widows of former 106th Infantry Division soldiers are eligible for an ASSOCIATE membership as non-voting members. Annual membership fees are $10.00 for eligible members. You may purchase a Life Membership for $75.00. Membership fees include the quarterly CUB magazine.
How do I initiate my membership? - Print out the application blank which appears on the following page. Complete the application and send to the Association Treasurer (see below). On receipt of your completed application and membership fees you will receive a WELCOME letter, a copy of the CUB magazine, if a copy is available, along with a list of the current members of the 106th Infantry Division Association who were formerly in your unit. You will receive the quarterly CUB magazine starting with the next issue. The CUB magazine is normally mailed in February, May, August and November.
What is the CUB magazine? The CUB of the Golden Lion, known as "The CUB" is a quarterly magazine that is included with your membership fees. It has been produced, quarterly, since September 1947.
Information for “The CUB” usually comes from the members of the 106th Infantry Division Association.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE: $10.00 for 106th Veteran or ASSOCIATE (see classifications above) with $2.00 for spouse whose husband is an Annual Member (spouse not mandatory).
Annual memberships start July 1 and end June 30th of the next year, regardless of the time of year you sign on. NOTE: When available, extra copies of past CUB magazines are included with your Welcome letter to make up for the ones missed in the current fiscal year
